Preparing "Print-Ready" Files

We accept the following file formats: .TIF, .TIFF, .EPS, .AI, .PSD, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .PDF, .ZIP & .RAR

Templates
Before creating your digital artwork, we highly recommend that you download the appropriate template, which comes pre-configured with the proper resolution, color mode, bleeds and other critical elements we require.

Resolution
All file formats must have a minimum of 350 dpi (dot per inch) resolution at 100% of the final print size. Images designed for the web typically cannot be used for printing, because they have a low screen resolution of 72 dpi. Images used for print must be at 350 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in image quality.

Color Mode
All color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode.
All black & white artwork and/or images must be provided in grayscale color mode.

Bleed:
Bleed is the portion of the product that is trimmed off when it is cut to its final size. For example, all business cards except for those with round corners require a 0.1" bleed to each dimension (or 0.05" bleed on all four sides). Thus, a 2" x 3.5" business card would have a bleed size 2.1" x 3.6". Please design your files using our templates to ensure proper bleed.

Fonts:
(1) Fonts must be embedded in PDF files. (2) Fonts must be outlined or converted to paths or curves in EPS files. (3) Be aware that some fonts have copyright restrictions and will not embed in PDF Files. (4) Quark Express: Fonts and images must be included with all files submitted. (Mac only)

Safe Zone:
All critical elements (text, images, logos, etc.) should be kept at least 0.125" inside the edge. Anything left close to edge may be cut off during trimming.

Borders in your Artwork:
Please allow 1/16" cutting space around the edge of your product. While not restricted, we recommended against using borders on your artwork, as shifting in the cutting process may make the border appear uneven.
